Sainik Kalyan Nideshalaya, Jharkhand was formally established in Nov 2004 comprising of 04(four) ZSKKs (Zila Sainik Kalyan Karyalaya). One additional ZSKK was created in 2012 at Gumla. Each ZSKK covers three to seven districts as per veterans strength.
Additional ZSKK for Medininagar has now been sanctioned as VIth ZSKK vide Govt. of India, MoD letter No 12[16]North East 2011-/D (Res-II) Dated 10TH May 2018.
At the State level, the resettlement and welfare of ESM is handled by the Ministry/Nideshalaya of the Govt. and the Secretary/Director oversees the work of the Nideshalaya. At the district level, it is handled by ZSKK.
The Nideshalaya exercises general control and supervision over Zila Sainik Kalyan Karyalaya (ZSKKs) some of which cover more than one revenue dist.
