Jharkhand came into existence on 15 Nov 2000 as 28th state of Union of India consequent to bifurcation of Bihar. Jharkhand shares boundary with Bihar in the North, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh in the West, Odisha in the South and West Bengal in the East. One third of its landmass is forested and 42 percent of mineral wealth of the country is located here.

There are 05 Zila Sainik Kalyan Karyalaya (ZSKK) in Jharkhand State under Sainik Karyalaya. However, the sixth ZSKK Medininagar, although sanctioned, will start functioning shortly.
