VANPRASTHA SAINYA ASHRAM
The building of Vanprastha Sainya Ashram, Manjhatoli district, Gumla has been allotted to Rajya Sainik Kalyan Nideshalya for the purpose of facilitating Old Age Home facilities to Ex-servicemen and widows who are compelled to lead a neglected and deprived life in family. It was inaugurated by the Former Governor of Jharkhand and present President Smt. Droupadi Murmu Ji, on 31 March, 2021.
The purpose of acquiring this Govt building is to provide a shelter to needy Ex-servicemen who are facing neglection, harassment and hardship in their last phase of life, with all the amenities and facilities to enable them lead a comfortable and happy life.

RULES AND REGULATION GOVERNING ADMISSION
This Ashram is mainly made and meant for those Ex-servicemen and their spouse who have crossed 60 years of age and deprived of the love and affection from their family and society. Following factors are to be considered while deciding preferences.
1 1st preference will be given to Ex-servicemen and Veer Narees, Widow belonging to Jharkhand.
2 2nd preference will be given to any Ex-servicemen and Veer Narees, Widow belonging to other States of India.
3 Age Factor Preference will be given to higher aged ESM and accordingly in descending order.
4 If the candidate is single, i.e.eitheir spouse is no more, preference will be given to him/her.
5 Warrior's Widow/Veer Narees will be given highest preference in admission.
6 Some Cases of Paramiliitary forces and civilians also may be considered subject to availability of beds and payment of charges. Admission of a Civilian candidate will be the last option subject to availability of seat.
